What we collect and why
Contact and consultation forms
When you submit a form on this site we collect the name, email address, subject and message you provide. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to follow up about the services you asked about. Form submissions are stored in our website database and emailed to us.
Mailing list
If you subscribe to our mailing list we collect your email address and store it with our email provider, Mailchimp, so we can send you updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Purchases
If you book a paid consultation through this site, we collect the billing details needed to complete the order. Card payments are processed by our payment provider — we do not see or store your full card number on this website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect the comment content, your name, email address and IP address, along with your browser user agent string. This helps us detect spam.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for three purposes: keeping the site fast (caching), remembering your cart and session if you make a purchase, and analytics as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site may include embedded content such as videos. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website, and those sites may collect data about you and use cookies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make this site work — our web host, our email provider, our analytics provider and our payment processor — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and form submissions are kept for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship with you, and then archived or deleted. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to send you a copy of it, or to delete it. Requests are handled under the Jamaican Data Protection Act. Write to jack@helpmeignite.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to keep some information where the law requires it.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
